I love a good chalk board. Here are two that I created in our new house.
This first one is on the back of our pantry door. My family is constantly using the "last of something" and not telling me. That causes me to go to the grocery store MORE..... and if you know me at all - going to the grocery store and cleaning toilets are my worst chores!
So..... I painted this handy chalk board and my whole family uses it.
This second one is in my son's bedroom.
This wall was unused because the door to the room opens up
on this wall so that prevented me from putting a piece of furniture there.
Now it's a great place for doodling!

Here are a few tips:
- SAND, SAND, SAND your wall or surface!!!! Or if the wall is too textured, use MDF or particle board and paint that with the chalk board paint, put it in a large ready-made frame without the glass and hang it on your wall.
- Tape off the area to be painted. It looks so much better and makes for clean lines and easy clean up.
- You could take both of these one step further and put "magnetic paint" under the chalk board paint and it would make it a magnet board as well.
